The dust has settled on another spectacular annual tour, and we at Wright in Wisconsin want to extend a massive thank you to everyone who made the All Wright: A Day Like No Other tour weekend from September 5-6, 2025, an incredible success!
This year's event, focusing exclusively on the magnificent Taliesin Estate in Spring Green, Wisconsin, was truly "a day like no other," and we're thrilled so many of you could share in this exclusive experience.
We were delighted to welcome guests from 16 states and Washington D.C., with some attendees traveling quite a distance from places like Alabama, Arkansas, New York, Pennsylvania, Texas, Virginia, and Washington. Your passion for Frank Lloyd Wright's legacy, and your willingness to travel, is truly inspiring!
Putting on an event of this scale requires tremendous collaboration, and we are deeply grateful to our partners:
Taliesin Preservation and the Frank Lloyd Wright Foundation for their collaboration and unprecedented access to the estate.
Unity Chapel for its historic location and support.
Cindy Ball of Zenger Group and Joyce Link and Park Printing for the beautiful design and execution of our tour booklet, map, and Unity Chapel insert.
Consultant Susan Buchanan for her invaluable assistance.
The fabulous presenters who shared their expertise, making the special programming a highlight of the day.
Our generous Tour Booklet Ad customers for their continued support.
And, of course, a huge thank you to Mother Nature for the glorious weather we were blessed with!
The tour provided an extraordinary opportunity for ticket holders to explore key sites across the Taliesin estate, including the Taliesin residence, Hillside Drafting Studio and Theater, Tan-y-Deri, Romeo and Juliet Windmill, Joe's Cottage, and Midway Barns (exterior viewing).
The special programming throughout the day truly elevated the experience! Attendees enjoyed engaging talks on preservation at Midway Barns and the Dam by Ryan Hewson and Emily Butler, tours of the Taliesin Gardens with Kitchen Gardener Abbie Lehman, and a fascinating conversation between Wright in Wisconsin President John Macy and former Taliesin apprentice, architect Floyd Hamblen. The air was filled with music thanks to Pianist Dr. Adam Dachman's performances of Wright's favorite pieces at the Hillside Theater, and architect and author Ken Dahlin met with guests at Tan-y-Deri to discuss his latest work, Frank Lloyd Wright and the Path to Beauty.
We also want to thank everyone who joined us for the special Friday Night Event on September 5th at the Hillside Drafting Studio and Theater. The evening, which featured charcuterie, drinks, the announcement of our design competition winners, and Ken Dahlin's presentation and book signing, was the perfect way to kick off the weekend!
As we look toward planning future events, we are always interested in hearing from you! Your comments, suggestions, and even complaints help us improve every aspect of our tours. Also, if you captured any great moments on your camera, please feel free to send us your photos! They just might end up being featured in our next newsletter. You can email all feedback and photos to: bswan@wrightinwisconsin.org Thank you again for your enthusiasm and support of Wright in Wisconsin and the preservation of Frank Lloyd Wright's legacy.
We can’t wait to see you at our next event!
