Sustainable Wright with Stuart Graff

Event Date:
Wednesday, April 3, 2019
Location:
Golden Rondelle, SC Johnson Campus

Program 6:30-8:00 p.m.
Doors open at 6:00 p.m.

Frank Lloyd Wright founded a modern American architecture inspired by and built for nature. Wright spent his career advancing this concept of organic architecture. From broad organizational concepts, to the smallest of details, Wright’s work is an exhibition of the influence of natural and sustainable systems.

Join us for a discussion with Stuart Graff on how Wright’s eco-systems and his ingenuity manifested themselves in the creation of the SC Johnson Administration Building and Research Tower.

Stuart Graff, President and CEO of the Frank Lloyd Wright Foundation, looks at Wright’s organic architecture as more than just the design of buildings and objects. He believes Wright was seeking to create an architecture for living – in which buildings played an essential role. Graff shares Wright’s quintessential American story of self-invention, love of democracy, and inspiration from our diverse landscapes.
