Wright in Wisconsin Seeks Docents for 2023 Wright and Like

We need docents! Won't you help?

In exchange for three hours of your time, you will receive free admission to all of the tour sites!

What's involved? It's simple:

  • Our volunteer coordinator will assign you to a tour site (four designed by Frank Lloyd Wright and six designed by like-minded architects such as Willis & Lillian Leenhouts (2), John Randal McDonald, Justin Racinowski, Howard Schroeder and Russell Barr Williamson/Llewellyn Streff).
  • A house captain assigns you a morning, mid-day or afternoon shift and a specific location within or outside the house. Shifts are normally three hours.
  • The house captain emails you "talking points" for the assigned station. This is the information you share with our guests. Other training materials are provided.
  • Along with sharing this information with our guests, your only other tasks are to keep a watchful eye on the property and keep people moving through the house.
  • Most homes are not accessible for people with mobility challenges.
  • Children 12 years or younger are not permitted.

That's it. Then you're free to enjoy the rest of the tour! By volunteering, you help ensure the success of Wright and Like, and you get to take the tour! Prices for this event are $60 for members and $70 for non-members—so your help is truly valuable.
