Saturday, June 4th, 2016 - Wright and Like™ Racine | Sixty Years of Organic Architecture

This year’s theme “Sixty Years of Organic Architecture” begins in 1905 with Frank Lloyd Wright’s lakefront Thomas P. Hardy House and concludes in 1965 with The Prairie School in nearby Wind Point, designed by Wright’s apprentice Charles Montooth and Taliesin Architects.
This 10 site architectural journey also includes the Hamilton House by Wright apprentice Edgar Tafel, the Thomas House by Hans Geyer, and the Erickson House and Postorino House, both by John Randal McDonald, along with North Bay Village Hall by James Dresser, another Wright apprentice, and the Mount Pleasant Lutheran Church by Helmut Ajango. Of course no Racine tour would be complete without Wingspread and the SC Johnson Administration Building which will include tours of the recently opened Research Tower.

Tours will be 45 minutes each and limited to groups of 12 guests allowing for ample time to experience the home and site as well as visit with the Lukow’s. If you enjoyed the Lantz homes that were on our 2014 Wright and Like tour you won't want to miss this one!
